  • How do I use this peel?
These are the direct instructions from Dr. Song:
Skin Patch Test: IMPROPER USE OF CHEMICAL PEELS CAN CAUSE SEVERE BURNS, PLEASE BE CAREFUL! Always test on a small patch of skin before applying.

Sunburn Alert: Peels can increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterward.

Step 1: Cleanse the face, neck, and gently pat dry.

Step 2: Apply a small amount with a brush or cotton ball to the area and leave on as needed. Rinse product with water and pat dry after. Leave on for 1 minute for your first peel and slowly increase the time of each peel afterwards by 1-2 minutes as needed. General recommended time is 1-2 weeks between each peel. Your skin may be pink and sensitive for a few days after a peel. Please keep in mind, these are general guidelines, and everyone’s skin is different. Peel times vary from person to person, which can only be learned through experience and patience to avoid any burns. Skin patch tests are the most accurate method and minimize risk.

DISCLAIMER:  USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I had previously done a review for the Dr. Song Lactic Acid Peel.  That was a very confusing peel in the beginning.  But, I DID get the hang of it!  Yippee!  I was excited to be given the oppertunity to try the Dr. Son 20% Salicylic Acid Peel.  It really appealed to me.  I have dark spots on my skin now.  A few years ago.. they were NOT there!  Darn you aging!  I find myself using more and more concealer.  So, I started treatment with this peel for those spots.  Because it is so strong of a peel.. you SHOULD NOT do more than one treatment in 7 days.  So, once a week for a treatment is good enough!  I have had this for a few weeks.. I did once a week and I started at 1 minute.  Now, Im at 3 minutes.  Some spots HAVE lightened!  I'm excited to see the results after a few more treatments :)  I'm not going to lie... it does sting a tiny bit.  But, it's not that bad for a few minutes.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
